Dissolve barium chloride dihydrate in hot water, heat the mixture of sulfuric acid and water, and then slowly add it. Place it for a moment, add a few drops of dilute sulfuric acid to the supernatant and check whether the precipitation is complete. Stand still and wash the precipitate with hot water for 5 ~ 6 times by decantation method. Then use a Buchner funnel to suck and filter, wash and dry. Grind the dried product into fine to obtain pure barium sulfate.
